I personally think its hard to beat a Forster FL die with neck honed to proper diameter. Its cost effective and produces very straight ammunition when combined with their BR seater. I shot a 1.65" and 2.25" group back to back at 852 yards with this combo last weekend with my Beanland 6.5x47.

I got the dies from C4HD. Not sure why but my Redding body die just wasn't sizing far enough down the case. Rifle was built by GAP so I know the chamber is top notch.

Had an issue on my 338LM where the bolt would "click" towards top of travel. Issue was size of case just above web was too tight for my chamber. Ordered a small base die and haven't had a problem since.

5.5x22 NPR1 here as well for my 338LM. Love it! Reticle is very fine which is great for ELR.

I wouldn't start at 92g H1000. That is near max load. It isn't as slow as Retumbo. In addition some guys with the Savage 338 seem to hit pressure sooner. I'd start around 89g H1000.

Better buy an 8lb jug. The 338 Lapua has an appetite!

I don't believe it's necessary. I have run my 260 over 150 rounds without cleaning and it still shoots in the 3s.

From everything I've heard it will not have the longevity of Lapua brass. To me it isn't discounted enough from Lapua to consider it.
