I have read somewhere that a cratex bullet could be turned to fit the bore and pushed through. Cratex is a rubber abrasive, use fine grits btw. I read this was a last resort that one of the bench shooters did instead of setting back a barrel at the end of its life.
the express was a high dollar version of the plain vanilla 77. the length of the action would make a killer bigger custom. possibly a 338 lm or big 30-378 roy
ok i shipped my action off and now i am wondering on what contour barrel to have stuck on. thinking of a #8 at 32 or 34 inches. it is on a win 70 action and my other choices are a #7 or a heavy palma contour which is .930 straight taper after the shank and a 2.5" taper.

yeah lifetime on the barrel, not the throat. so if it explodes for some reason you are covered, unless you had an obstruction and then it is operator error
