Re: How's Norma 300 WinMag case head strength? Lapua 300 win brass was made under contract by Norma. I don't know if the Norma stuff with the Lapua headstamp has exactly the same specs or not. Unfortunately Lapua has stayed away from making belted cases.

What cartridge is this for? My bullet selection would be different from a .308 to a 300rum.

I'm mostly a rifle guy but, I've got an older 629 in 44 mag for bear protection. It has a 6" barrel with full lug. It also has the unfluted cylinder which I think really looks sweet. I would go with the longer barrel for mostly range work, or hunting for that matter.
