    22/250 or 223

I have been calling coyotes for close to 40 years. In the 80s I tried a whole bunch of rifles and came to the conclusion that the AR in 223 was the perfect coyote rifle for me. There wasn't the caliber choices then like there are today. If you plan on keeping the fur then I think the 223 is...

looking for opinions for a new pack

I have been using an EberlieStock Blue Widow with the rifle scabbard for the past 5years or so. And I can tell you it is one tough sob... yeah its a little heavy but the extra weight has been worth it! I have had 100 pounds in it a couple of times and nothing has broke (just about killed me)...

    2016-17 Winter coyotes

Here's a few from this fall and winter. We had a good year and averaged about one and a half coyotes per stand. Been calling a looong time and this was one of the best seasons I can remember.

Go in Light and Come out Heavy - Which Pack?

I have had a Eberlestock Blue Widow for 3 years now and used it alot and carried well over a hundred pounds in it a couple of times, I have had zero problems and its without a doubt the most comfortable pack i have ever had. I would buy one again. Steve

Woohoo, I earned my stupid badge today...

My worst stupid badge dident involve reloading. I was checking waters on one of the ranches i worked on in the late 80s and saw a coyote so i jumped out, and missed. That day i had an old remington 788 in 223 with me (Man that rifle was a shooter) and i usually carried it with a round chambred...

    Why do you reload cartridges?

All the Above! I started hand loading with my Dad in the Early 70s then i got my own equpment in the early 80s. Finally a couple of years ago we bought a house with enough property and far enough out of town where i have a permant bench and a 300 yard range right out my reloading room door.gun)...

    Eberlestock vs Badlands 4500

I just got the JP9 from Eberlestock and i am likeing it a bunch so far. I have 3 other pretty decent packs and the Eberlestock has better materials and workmanship. I have only had 50 pounds in it and only did 3 miles but it is very comfortable. I havent ever tried a Badlands pack and im sure...
