Sweet rifle. How does it shoot with what loads?

I' 6' 1" 170. I wear large tops, fit is great. Let us know what you get and how it fits. I need some better rain gear as well.

I like to loosen mine up when I get where I'm going.

Wish they would have made it in a 120. I have always wanted to try the speed 120 sbt. Believe it is listed at .480 Never had any problems with the Sierra 117's though.

I have really started to like the 6.5 caliber for deer especially in a short action. I started hunting with a .243 but I like the heaver bullet selection of the 6.5 caliber.

I haven't tried 4350 in my 300. I agree it is a bit fast. I have used RL22 & H1000 with good results. These along with Retumbo seem to be the powders of choice though I'm sure there are more. For reference H1000 is #141 on Hodgdons burn rate chart vs H4350 at #117. Link if it will work...

Awesome. How do you like the weight and balance of the rifle? It's on the hevier side of what I am thinking i want but maybe it wouldn' be to bad.

Mine with scopes. 6.5 creed = 13.25 25-06 = 10.5 300WM = 9.25 I feel like my 300 is too light, the 06 is almost perfect and the 6.5 is too heavy. Looking to upgrade my 300 or trade it off for something in the 10.5-12 lb range. I'll have to check out some of the slings mentioned.
