i was trying 2 reply to your post on 7mm bulletts for bears. general rule of thumb is use whatever you use for deer. however many variables come into play. are you hunting over bait at known short yardage? or spot and stock? what kind of yardage will the terrain you hunt permit? etc. for the close in in thick cover or over bait id use a round nose 154 to 175 gr. however for mid to longer ranges hornady has a dandy 162 gr with a .550 b.c. that would do a number on a black bear. also check out berger if you handload. good luck! as i said before, i was trying to read and reply to your question about ammo for 7mm on bear. i clicked on it to read and was brought here so i appologise if i gave you ammo for blackbear and you were talking brownies or if it was 7 mauser not 7mag. couldnt get the computer to read my mind and do what i wanted it to do. ill try harder to get more tech savy.
