    Lone Ranger bullets Question

Norma made silver bullets. Don't know what the metallurgy is. I used them a lot in a 7mm Rem. Mag. They don't hurt your barrel. I used 150 and 160 gr. boat tails. their only fault was the core separated and the jacket would shrapnel. And the moose always died. So the bullet never really failed...

    Reloading Injuries

Go to Hornady sight and look up seating die . You can purchase just the seating die or a full die set and sell your other dies. With the full die set you can get a hundred free bullets. their seater die has a moving sleeve so you don't catch your fingers.

    Ultralight, or ultra durable

Check out Weatherby’s ultralite rifles. Under 5 lbs. to 6 1/4 lbs. Standard calibers or maybe one of the new RPM calibers. Most of the 6 lug actions have 24” bbls. Can even get a LH action. I have two ultralites, 243 and 240//338/06. Picked up the 338/06 bbl. and swap it on the 240 occationally...

358 Win - Pistol Bullet Plinking Loads

I use a 125 gr.truncated bullet that is designed for 9mm. I use it in my 38 Special. very accurate, flat shooting, light recoil. A friend asked if I would like to try his 357 Maximum while he went for coffee. I asked if I could try my loads in it. He said go for it but they won't be accurate in...

    my Mountain Rifle choice

Weatherby still makes the ultra lightweight rifle at 5 3/4 lbs. and also make it in titanium under 5 lbs. Maybe if they had named it a mountain rifle it would catch more attention.

    7mm Rem Mag Case Stretch

Measure the depth of the belt. I have found the factories have the belt too long , usually by .012. Headspace willl measure to the belt OK and be short measuring to the shoulder and cause the brass to stretch.

Is the 243 the best whitetail deer cartridge?

So page 40 is getting closer. Lets get apples to apples with 25/06>6mm/06. and do oranges to oranges with 243>25 Souper. If any 25/08 fans have any experience with 243, please chime in and leave us your experience for comparison.
