    Hydro dipping

I have an old Army buddy who is doing it. Give me a few to look up his info. I think he is in Alabama, but I have to check. Edit: ******* From my also-retired friend: I still have every thing to do it but I don’t have any time to do it. I recommend Big Brain HydroGraphics our of Louisiana...

44mm vs 56mm objective, need advice

Ken, I don't for a minute doubt your experience with this/these optics, but comparing an IOR to a PA is not really a fair comparison (in my opinion). That said, my 50-something year old eyes really appreciate good glass far more than they did in my 20's and 30's. My advice to the OP is to buy...

    Customizing 700 LA

I use a PT&G CIP length DBM in my LA 700 .300 WM. For your use, I would definitely recommend it, or the equivalent.

experticity.com You have to sign up ,and you have to qualify with some kind of (approved) group affiliation, but it is worth it if you are able

First precision optic shv or lrp

While I am 'contractually prohibited' from sharing the details, I signed up for the 'Experticity' service online and Zeiss has a significant discount on their products available... Seriously significant. I recommend anyone look into it if you are considering one of their products.

First precision optic shv or lrp

I am rapidly approaching the same decision as you are, and I would like to throw out another choice you may or may not have considered: the Zeiss V6 Conquest, in either 3-18 or 5-30 x 50. With reticle choices and weight aimed at hunting over tactical use, I have pretty well decided on the 5x30...

    Underground shooting range

The details of 'proper' range construction are well established. I'm pretty sure that the NRA has information available, and I'm certain that SOME insurance company somewhere has guidelines as well. The difficulty there, of course, being able to find and access that person! Still, I imagine...

Need an Affordable FFP Rifle Scope on my .308 Savage Recommendations Guys!

I know this thread is a bit old, but I recently got an Athlon Argos (BTR 6-24x50, FFP Illuminated). I haven't taken it to the woods yet, but I have been practicing with it at 100 meters on my 300wm. I'm very happy with it for the money.

Considering building out a 1500 yard range. Help me know if anyone would come?

I too think that you would be successful. Look up Fouled Bore in Ninnekah, Oklahoma. It's a couple hours from everywhere, he charges $30/person/day, with annual membership available if someone wants to commit to coming more often. I would recommend that you contact him to see if he can help you...

Ruger M77 action-why don’t you see custom builds?

I don't want to disrupt the thread, but how are those Boyd's stocks working out for you? I'm thinking about their Pro-Varmint for my budget 300 Win mag project. Thanks!

    .300 Win Mag seating depth

I just put a PTG CIP length (3.85 inch mag, 3.75 inch COAL!) magwell in my project Rem 700 300wm, in the factory ADL/SPS stock. I pillar bedded it at the same time. I haven't wrung it out yet, but it's shooting 3/4 inch, 5-shot groups with factory WW 180 gr PP's. So yeah - you can definitely...

New guy from So Cen Oklahoma

Hey folks, Brad from near Ada, Oklahoma here. I'm (medically) retired from 25 years of jumping out of airplanes and killing people for Uncle Sam (Sergeant First Class, Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division), and am finally getting to the point where I can get around a little better. I did a *lot* of...
