Haven’t seen to much on 25-06 with heavy bullets I put a 7 twist McGowen 25-06 ackley barrel on a vanguard action shot good with h4831sc 3070 avg fps 8.4 S.D. Over 10 shot string. Would like to see other loads that someone may have came up with.

What I like about the 7prc was the ease of developing a load with rl26 and 180 eldms I have a 26 inch carbon 6 that shoots 3020 with 67.6 and a 24 inch McGowen that shoots 2980 with 67 grains 4 shot group at 800. I still shoot a lot of other calibers but I do really like the 7prc

We did put Wyatt 4 inch boxes in them I’m 3.91 oal and I’m probably going to have to move it out a little more soon it’s a barrel burner I’m going to have to not shoot it very much or decide what barrel to replace it with

I have the same gun and my nephew too. We both shoot n570 and 225 eldm hornady cci250 my gun is 90 grains and his is 89.7 speed is 2930 fps both guns shoot very well Norma brass

Yes hornady brass 3.35 oal case fill is good not compressed

Both on savage actions one barrel is a 26 inch carbon six the other is a 24 inch McGowen technically both barrels are mcgowen anyway 180eldm bullets 67.6 grains rl26 on the 26 inch and 67.2 rl26 with the 24inch 3000 fps 26inch 2977 fps 24 inch both barrels will shoot 1/2 inch

I’m getting 2950 with the hornady 175 eldx precision hunter ammo with a 26 inch carbon six barrel. I haven’t start reloading yet just wondering what others are seeing

I just put one together carbon six barrel with break 900 savage long action 350 stocks carbon fiber stock 500 bottom metal savage 150 go no go gauges 100 vortex razor lht 4.5-22 and bases 1650 3650.00 it’s a 7prc 26 inch barrel
