I like IMR 4831 and Reloader 17 with 150-180 bullets. I am using Reloader 22 with 190 in mine and getting 3,000 fps with it. Reloader 26 will push a 190 up to 3,150fps, but the extreme spread was over 80 fps. Reloader 17 is similar to IMR 4350, but it will give higher velocity.

I want to use my McMillan A5 stock and it has my Rem 700 long action in it now. What action would fit this stock?

I want 1/4 moa gun. I know how hard it is to get one. I have 5 rifles. Only 1 of them I can keep under 1/2 moa. I have even considered the 7 WSM. I really need this build to be a shooter.

I put 3 300WSM in the box and it feed them well. I have it in McMillan A5. I could make it 300 WSM and throat it for 210 VLDs and put them in the box. I think I could get 200 fps more velocity with the Win Mag. Can't make up my mind.

Can I get a new bolt from PTG and put a 300 Win Mag on 700 action that was a 270 Winchester?

I was wondering if I could build a 338 Lapua on a Remington long action? Will the action be long e ough? Will the box be big enough to hold loaded rounds? It will hold 3, 300 WSM.

I see more smoke with this powder than RE22 or IMR 4831. I will continue to check velocity as it is getting cooler out. How much velocity will It give up when it is 30 outside?

:)I have checked the velocity on 4 of my 190 with the RE 26. I checked 2 last week 75 outside 3152, 3152. Today I checked two more 60 degrees out 3130, 3120. The 3120 was a different lot of VLDs and it was .20 off the lands. Think I am sold.

I think RE26 needs to be close to the lands as well. 26 has to be denser. I got 71.8 gr in my 300WSM and it is not in the neck. I have 3 loaded and ready. It has a slower burn rate than RE 25 so I may be wasting my time. My gun has 1-12 twist so I can't stabilize anything over 190. I can...

Finally got my 300 WSM back. Rem 700 with 26 inch 1-12 twist. RE 23 69.0 gr win primer 190 VLD=3009. Signs of high pressure. RE26 69.0gr win primer 190 VLD=3024. Pressure less than above load. RE26 69.5gr=3069. RE26 70.0gr=3110.pressure still good.
