Your going your hunt of a lifetome what are you hunting and what rifle are you using ? Mine is easy

My dream hunt would have to be returning to Africa for Buffalo and Leopard. Of course we will need some baits to bring in the Leopard....Klipspringer, bush pig, did dik.....the list goes on. To accomplish this, I would be forced to build a switch barrel rifle in 7mm PRC/375 Ruger topped with a...

    Free Range West Texas Aoudad

if the meat is taken care of, clean and cooked immediately, it is actually a great stew meat. Old ram=tough, so stews and slow cooked recipes for goat are great. There are a ton of great Mediterranean and South American preparations out there for goat. I would give it a shot, I enjoyed mine!

    22lr fun

I have been on the fence for a little while on putting together an accurate bolt action .22. It looks like you may have pushed me! That is a great looking setup and a shooter to boot.

    What choke for Chucker hunting?

It is late in the season right now. Hopefully you have a friend with a dog. Bring all 3 chokes and start with the full if no dog, modified if behind a dog. Don't be afraid to use high brass 6s this time of year! Have fun and enjoy the hike. At least there is not a ton of snow to trudge...

What is a Really Good Hunting Knife

I really like the Knives of Alaska products. They have served me well, hold an edge and offer packs with multiple types of knives (skinning, boneing, capeing) for a good value. They go with me on most hunts. That being said, if it is a waterfowl or deer hunt, a replaceable blade outdoor edge...

A thread about tired threads. Please add...

Threads that start with someone looking for a good scope option for $1,XXX or under, and immediately devolve into a buy once cry once alpha glass thread.

    Dirty suppressor

An ultrasonic does work well, but you have to rinse the can out well immediately as the carbon is now mush sitting in the bottom of the can. I usually run it, rinse and run it again to make sure everything is out.

What rifles are you planning to use in the 23/24 deer seaon?

Looking forward to shooting my new to me Bergara Premier 300 PRC Ridgeback with Hornady Match 225 white box. This is my first new bolt rifle in over 20 years and I am amazed with how far things have come! I will be bringing a much lighter custom 7mm Rem if I am heading any real distance from...

    Bergara MGLite vs Bergara Divide

I have a few Bergara rifles, including the Premier Divide. If you are not planning on hand loading or shooting past 600-700 yards for competition or fun, the 2 inch barrel difference will not matter. For all of the examples that you provided (white tail, wolf, antelope and mule deer), the MG...

PA archery bulls and some rut shots..

I am blown away that they brought the elk out (on a long extraction) whole. And then loaded it whole in the truck. I have never been on an elk hunt that didn't require at least quartering, most also needed de boneing to get them back to the truck!
