Brilliant! When sighting in by yourself. You could also put it down range in a hover and shoot a 4K video of your POI to review after shooting. I think this would beat the hell out of phoneskope, cell phone on a spotting scope video.

Takedown Baby!

I second the Browning and you can get the takedown version chambered in modern rounds like 308 or 300 winmag - the perfect backpack rifle!

Go custom and shoot the barrels out - re-barrel is cheap!

Roger on the 215's for deer. I use 230's on elk and if 500yds or so I lose a quarter but the animal drops about as fast as a prom dress. I might have a couple of boxes of 215 to swap if you lean that way.

You will love the .17hmr - flat and fast! If you want a bit more punch and range, like to reload check the .17 Hornady Hornet centerfire. - Collect them all!

I have some Berger 156 ELO inbound and wondering if anyone has any testing with H1000 in a 6.5 saum?

.17 hmr is pretty quiet and doesn't seem to scare off the ground squirrels we shoot with them. Also extending your range to 150-200yds.
