    MT Elk Regulations Should Change!

As a dreaded non-resident hunter, the longest time I’ve ever spent on a western hunting trip is 10 days. I wish I lived out among the elk so that I could figure out the puzzle, that’s so much of the fun! Man I would kill to be able to hunt a whole season out west (meaning for all species -...

6.5mm copper monos for Elk - LRX vs CX vs E-tip vs CEB vs Hammer vs Lehigh

Bob, I can’t and don’t disagree with the facts of history as it relates to the 270 or any caliber that people have killed elk with them. Where I’m coming from is that this is a long range forum, and as you know as a hunter field conditions are not often ideal for a bench like solid rest. And...

6.5mm copper monos for Elk - LRX vs CX vs E-tip vs CEB vs Hammer vs Lehigh

Good on you Feenix for going to the science and facts. I think we are all susceptible to allowing snippets form our views in the micro-news world we live in. And bringing issues back to science and fact generally runs things back to the ground. Along those same lines, and moving back to the...

    Advice on Scope Welcomed

Love your spirit and guts to change the direction of your personal and professional life! We grow the most when we challenge ourselves by placing ourselves in uncomfortable/new positions (healthy ones of course). Frankly I have some of the high end brands mentioned so far (zeiss, leupold, etc)...

    6.5 prc elk bullet poll!

Dude copper/hard for elk. Too many big bones for lead… I use Barnes 168 ttsx in my 300 win mag, and 135 Berger Classic Hunters (drt bullets) in my 6.5 Creedmoor.

Great trophy!! Bucket list item for me as well. Anyone have experience with acquiring a license, picking an area + guide? You know figuring out a good hunt.

    Entry level suppressor ready rifles?

I have a Franchi Momentum in 6.5 Creedmoor (with a threaded barrel) that is relatively lightweight (6.6lbs), and an awesome well balanced rifle. I had at the range last Friday for a final check before rifle deer season and it shot very well (1/2 inch even with me pulling the trigger…) with...

    Advice on Scope Welcomed

I have two (2) Sig Sauer 4.5-14x50’s with the BDX system that are fantastic when paired with Sig’s bdx/kilo rangefinder’s. See the links below #1 = scope, #2 = my rangefinder, and #3 = the concept of the really simple system. https://www.sigsauer.com/sierra3bdx-4-5-14x50-mm.html...
