Northeastern Guy - Thinking of booking my first guided hunt.

That is a great tip on the KOA cabins! I'm going to talk to some friends and see if they would be interested in the trip and splitting the driving. I would love to get down to the Harrisburg show.

That sounds like a great hunt! I will definitely look into this. I am just a little over an hour from the Canadian border, so drive shouldn't be too bad.

Haha that does sound fun! I am about an hour north of you.

Sorry for late reply, I missed the notification on this. Here's what I have for load data. The 4350 loads over 60.0 grain were showing ejector marks on the brass. I was happier with the Ramshot Hunter loads.

Thanks! I would be very interested in that. Do you have any suggestions on an outfitter, or how to find one?

Also, I'm good at hunting northeastern hardwoods. I'm note sure how well that would transfer over to western hunting, spot and stalk etc.

How would I go about finding something like this?

That's a good question, I should have included that in my original post. $2500 would be great, but I'm willing to pay up to $5,000 or so. I may take the plunge into 5 figure hunts one day, just not yet, especially for my first paid hunt.

Got it, so let's say I'm willing to drive a good amount further than 12 hours, and bring meat home in a cooler or chest freezer running off a generator. Where do you folks suggest I go for a fun hunt?
