Very nice!
I have no PP as of now but would like to start putting in for them and find a unit with left over buck tags that would give us a chance at a respectable sized buck.
I'd like to put into the drawing in WY for pronghorn in 2015 for one of the top units knowing that I won't get drawn. I'll save up my points until I do.
What options does this leave me with for hunting WY in 2015? Are there any units with OTC tags available that hold respectable size bucks...
I think I am going to do a muley hunt next fall in CO. What areas of the state have OTC tags for muleys that have a history of holding good quality bucks?
Ideally I would like to do this with an elk tag in my pocket at the same time but going after one animal only would be OK if the area...
I think I will end up with the 338WM.
It will probably come down to either a Remington 700 or Winchester M70? Any clear cut winner over these two models?
Thanks for the reply, 700-800 yards far exceeds any practical shot I could see myself taking.
300WM was my other choice. Is the "stopping" power of the 338WM preferred to that of the 300WM?
Next year I'm hunting out west for muleys and I think I might head out for elk too. 2015 I am planning on heading to AK to hunt caribou and black bear. Within a few years I also plan to head to AK for grizzly and moose.
I am looking for one rifle that will handle all of the above. Right now...
