Cost of full custom rifle but on budget?

Bell & Carlson are very nice stocks and less than half the cost of McMillan, but they are heavier.

    Upgrade press too what?

I really like my Hornady iron press. It's the best single stage I've owned.

Behind enemy lines in CA. Need to escape. Need help

My Rem 700 FIRED on Bolt Closing!!

Sounds like the primer wasn't seated all the way in and it may have popped when you closed the bolt, I have a trigger tech diamond trigger and they don't fire accidently. If there is a firing pin dent in the case than something touched the trigger.

Why would you not sight in at 100 yards?

I'm just answering for myself, so I have several rifles for several applications and I zero my rifles according to purpose. For example my predator rifle is primarily for hunting coyotes out on the farm so I zero at 150 because I'm shooting 75gr vmax bullets at about 3450fps out of my 6mm...

6.5 Creed replace the .308 for hunting?

I rebarreled mine in .284 Winchester but I'm a stickler for the underdog. For a hunting cartridge it's hard to beat, but it's also hard to find. I dropped a muley where it stood at 460yds with it last year with a 150 gr long range accubond. As far as energy goes I'd trust it out to 600 for deer...

Is 450 yards Long Range? - Bear Down!

Beautiful bear dude, good shooting, I personally consider 450yds mid range. I took my last deer at 754yds with my 7mm rem mag.

Need a new rifle -- Recommendations!

Have you considered the Savage 110 long range Hunter? It will be at the top of your budget but the triggers are excellent and so is accuracy. It also has a magnum profile barrel, adjustable brake, and a 26" barrel. I love mine, perfect weight for hunting too.

    7mm-08 or 6.5

As a tactical shooter and a Hunter, if you are deciding on what to get based on what bullets you have then go with the hunting round. I know the 147eld match bullets will stop a deer in it's tracks but match bullets aren't designed to hunt so if you are not willing to buy hunting bullets for the...

BOYDS, AtOne, or Pro Varmint Savage stock

I own a model 11 trophy Hunter in 6.5 creedmoor that I put a Boyd's prairie Hunter stock on and the fit was perfect. I couldn't have been happier. It did improve my groupings a little bit. One thing you want to be sure of when buying a boyds. If you put it on anything with substantial recoil you...
