Thanks for the response runrunner I'd love a barrel like that but there like 350 400 bucks the what the gunsmith charges to cut and install the barrel. I'd like to sped that much just over my price range. Not many smith's by me in ny at lest no good one

Thanks for the response rich. I got the gun. Cheap a few years ago for some reson the shank of the barrel was cut of and rechambered and treaded the head space is a little loose. I gust don't know what contor to get get a sporter barrel or just do a heavy barrel for target I will look in to some...

Hello I have a rem 700 stainless bdl SA I need to find a stainless take off barrel or new one like to keep it 7mm-08 but may consider other other calibers but like the 7mm-08 please let me know or other options u guys think of. Thanks troy.

Ya I have shot some like that I like to save the hart if I can cooks up nice in a pan with some bacon fat and onions ;)

I have to take a look at them 145s I was all ways told to shoot the shoulder then they can't run and have never lost a deer from doing that but u lost lots of meat and I used cheap core lokes

Any bullet wight I use will still kill deer know problem just like to try the heavy ones. I have a 1in9 twist that should help how makes a reel tuff bullet som thing that won't blow up when u hit a deer I like to try to save meat most times use a neak shots

Deer in my part of new York are pretty large I have shot doe over 200 pound before my largest bucks is 16 point non typical at 263 pounds dressed out
