    378 weatherby velocity ?

300gr or 330gr? Nosler #6 says you'll get just under 2900 with a 300gr projectile as the absolute max with IMR7828. I don't have data for a 330gr load. This will depend on your rifle though and how tight the chamber is.

    A little 7mm practical help

I would love to have one ... and plan to build one in the next year or two ... It's a great long range caliber... You almost get the power of a 7mm RUM without having to replace your barrel every 400-500 rounds, and without the freebore issues of the RUM. Why wouldn't you want one? Just my 2c.

Do I just have a lemon or what

If anything, this twist rate should be helping you. A 1 in 10 twist would suit these heavier (longer) projectiles. If I was to hazard a guess, I'd say your problem was free bore related. How did you determine your COAL?

    A little 7mm practical help

I'd suggest that you speak to Nathan Foster. He's incredibly switched on a build a fair number of 7mm Practicals. Have a look at his website. He's very helpful. This page may help. The 7mm Practical. A Practical Magnum. Hope this helps. Cheers

    case tumbeling?

Clean brass is certainly easier to work with as is less prone to excess friction in your dies ... I would say that it definitely affects your accuracy in that dirty brass is more likely to experience run-out due to excessive pressures in the dies.

    7mm Rem Mag - 150gr NP - ADI AR2213SC (H4831sc) - Low velocities

Yes ... I plan to work more on this loading. It's the best option of the lot by a long stretch. Yip ... thats a good point, and I have already arranged for 2 of my mates from the gun club to bring their chronies in on the next range day ... we'll shoot the load mentioned above over all 3...

    7mm Rem Mag - 150gr NP - ADI AR2213SC (H4831sc) - Low velocities

Thanks. I'd really appreciate that. If you could also mention projectile weight per load that would be very helpful. How long is your barrel?

Robinhood ... what velocities are you getting for the various powders that you tried? Thanks mate.

    7mm Rem Mag - 150gr NP - ADI AR2213SC (H4831sc) - Low velocities

Hi there, I'd really appreciate some help and/or advice. I recently bought a Remington 700 XCR II in 7mm Rem Mag. 24" tube, 3.6" mag. To date I have been breaking the barrel in (using factory ammo) and have just started reloading for it. The barrel has fired 120 rounds to date (excluding...

    7mm rem mag.

I have also recently gone down this same track. In the end, I tried 4 different types of factory ammo (two federal, and 2 hornady), which I used just to break the barrel in with. One type of the Federal ammo, and one type of the Hornady ammo grouped OKish in my rifle ... the other two were...

Nosler Custom Comp 6.5mm 140 -- Okay for deer?

I'd rather use the interlocks if I was you ... These bullets are extremely likely to disintigrate upon impact and will likely ruin your day ... One thing that I am a firm beleiver in is having the right bullet for the job, and whilst the Custom Comp is a great range/competition bullet, it's...

    180gr Sierra Gamekings from 308win for deer at 50 - 200m?

+1 on that brother emn83, what 168-180gr projectiles are you using for hunting? I've found the 180gr premiums to be too hard at 308 velocities and hence my experiment with the Sierra Gamekings.

    180gr Sierra Gamekings from 308win for deer at 50 - 200m?

Dude ... have you been hunting for long ??? I'm not sure if you're serious or if you're trying to pull my leg ... Anyway ... all the best.
