    I know they have. That was the point of my post... By them not changing the "Target Only" (like the poster above wanted them to) it allows them to avoid the can of worms when the guys who shoot shoulder bone at 50yards will create.

    One has to wonder if it has anything to do with the potential customer relation issue that could come of it. Company's design and market products all the time that account for user error. An engineer might have scratch the best performing design because it has a higher risk of user error...

    Help Troubleshoot Wear on Rem 700 Bolt

    That does make sense with the rivet right there. I just never noticed it before during cleaning. The gun has about 120 rounds through it. Any reason for not lapping lugs? When I did a check using a marker on the back face of the lugs it was only showing contact on about 30% of one lug.
