We normally get ours skinned pretty quickly. If I was going to hang them a day or 2 with the skin on, I would definitely remove the gland.

We use 2 knives like levers4life does. We do not remove the "stink" gland, it peels off with the skin. We found out there was more risk of contaminating the meat cutting out the gland than peeling it out with the skin. We were taught this by an old south Texan outfitter that had been outfitting...

I'll be hunting whitetail, primarily at less than 200yds, but have possibility of going out to 500yds.

I'm in the process of having a 7mm-08 built. APR Hunter Action, 20" Proof Carbon Barrel, AG Composites Alpine Hunter Stock. I'm looking for recommended loads for a 20" barrel with a 140 or 150 grain bullet.

I've just taken delivery of my new .25-06AI. The specs are: Lone Peak Razor Action Muller Barrel, 26", 1 in 9" twist Grayboe Stock Timney Trigger Does anyone have any recommended loads for this. I am primarily interested in the 115-120 grain bullets.
