Reading through some of these in aww of the stories. I don't pretend to know a ton about long range, but I did spend 2 years shooting my rifle and working on loads before carrying it on a trip to Colorado. And go figure, never got a chance to take a shot. Lol

With the advancements in bullets, wouldn't a 7-08 get the edge on a 308 as a "do all" cartridge? I'm not speaking from experience between the two, just comparing numbers.

I completely get that, I'm in commercial construction and sketch out designs all the time. I dont have experience doing that with a scope, but I have to start somewhere.

Wanted to jump in on this for my own. I have a Hells Canyon in 300wm. It has Warne bases and I just bought a Sightron STac with a 50mm objective. I need to buy all new bases and rings or find something that works with the Warne. I naturally like my scope high as I tend to cheek a little higher.

The one that I just chose for my hunt in November........300 WM. Now to work up a load!

I have shot them both. The biggest difference I felt was the draw cycle, something that is pure personal preference. Elite has been around longer, and the way archery companies come and go that can mean something.

While aftermarket may not be readily available, you would think that Browning would have some more offerings, like stocks?

I've been wondering this myself. They seem to compare well against other factory rifles in the same price range.

After recommendations from a couple friends I am glad that I joined. I am extremely green at longe range shooting/hunting in general but it has my attention. Thank you in advance!
