Lost 100 fps after 550 rounds

This thread has me thinking. Tikka 6.5 PRC, 1 in 8 twist, was running 60 grains RL26 behind 124 Hammer Hunter at 3365 FPS, 1.6 inch groups @ 200 yards ( our range only goes to 200 ). Lost accuracy and 40-50 FPS late in summer so cleaned to bare metal, bore scoped and found very significant fire...

Did anybody catch this on Fox ?

None of the above; he just borrowed a cheap .22 Mag from some dude at the bottom of the hill. Ain't room for a gun rack in a Lambo!!!

Lost My Ammo, Had To Buy Some at Local Store

Nope, never yet forgot ammo or really nothing much that was truly needed. Truth is, though, my son usually asks if I have the kitchen sink in my pack...It's never light enough!!!

    Mt Lion rifle

Very cool! I'll bet it's a fun gun to shoot and would probably be a great lion gun as well. I have shot mine, too, but not much. Will have to check with the Graf crew to see if they have dies and bullets. Any other places you know of that might have these? Stay safe and well and God Bless you...

    Mt Lion rifle

@adk hunter. Hey, I have one of those in the safe! Still have 20 rounds, factory 70 grain soft points to go with it. Also have about 50+ cases to load if I only had dies and the proper sized projos. Aren't they different diameter than our .22 cal stuff? My rifle is the take-down model made in...

    What is your guess?

I've got no beef with either of you and try to stay upbeat with my replies. That said, "I" have read that George SOROS owns stock in Ruger. Anybody know for sure if this is true? He "seems" to be playing us for fools if true.

    New to the group

Welcome from snowy, *** whooping cold Montana!!! I actually can't stand this forum; takes up too much of my "precious" time. I'm 71, long retired, don't do much other than fiddle with loads, shoot 'em, then try to improve them. These people on this site are always getting into my head making me...

Does a bear crap in the woods?

I often went to the San Diego zoo when we were in port and I didn't have duty for the day. Loved to stand back and watch the big silverback gorilla throw poop at anyone pressed up to the rail for a close look. One day, I watched what was obviously a group of 4 sailors fresh out of boot camp go...

Packing for a hunting trip as an elderly

Hey, Don. Ya, it all started with a simple hearing test and morphed into a neurosurgeon finding a "severely restricted" artery. Just had another roll through the donut 2 days ago and will get the results Monday. This could seriously impact my hunting season!!! Geez, you'd think the surgeons...

Packing for a hunting trip as an elderly

@Old rooster: I have had my pacemaker for 7 years now and no problems. 22 months ago, I had to have an ablation (was the worst of the 5 heart "procedures" I've had) to reduce the pre-ventricular contractions I was having. While I am certainly not a cardiologist, it seems quite extreme that your...

    Noob from Louisiana

Hello, TreyB7, welcome from Montana! This group of people here are so smart, they have actually learned to "dumb down" their responses to members questions so that even I can usually understand what they are saying!!! Seriously, this is a great place to learn the art of shooting, hand loading...
