    All around bipod

Tripods with a saddle work very well, but you have to tote them. Friends and I recently shot 2 MOA targets at 725 and 800 yds off one with fantastic results from standing. I recently bought a gizmo that lets me transform my trekking poles into a field bipod...

Tough way to go out. Mountain lion attack

You may have heard about the young male lion that they captured in the Oconee River swamp a few years ago. He was collared and they tracked him after several folks reported seeing him. He came up from the Okefenokee Swamp. He is not the only one we have seen/heard/tracked in the river swamp.

    New build ideas

There would be very little flex.

    New Calipers.

I bought an RCBS Rock Chucker kit in 1980. I got the plastic RCBS dial caliper that read to hundreths, not thousandths. I upgraded a couple of years later to a stainless dial caliper from Dillon that read to 1/1000ths and thought I was in high cotton. I dropped that Dillon caliper on the...

    Improving the 308 Win performance

Don't forget to use a rubber mallet to hammer the bolt down onto the charge. You do not want to mar the back of the bolt.

New fully machined wheelgun on the way!

It boggles my mind that most gun guys cannot wrap their head around the fact that in order to bring a S&W or Colt up to this level would cost more, and you still would not have the total package. I have extensively shot Korth, Janz, Manurhin, Freedom Arms, and custom wheelguns. My favorite...

    Favorite shotgun

My Goto upland guns are my Fox 20 ga. and my Merkle 147EL 20 ga. My favorite pump is an Ithaca Model 36 Featherweight in 16 gauge. Best semi, so far, is my Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus 3.5" 12 ga. that I use for duck and geese.

They look just like American Bulldogs. I bet they are clowns. 😂

    Gun Dogs

If you lived near Middle Georgia, I would give you one. They pretty much train themselves. They are also great family members. Like anything dog related, look for a reputable breeder and get one from them.

    Gun Dogs

Ain't that the truth? I used to shoot enough deer for the freezer, put up my rifle, then break out the beagles for the rest of the season. Now I am a bird dog and Mountain Feist guy.

Take a moment to consider STDs as you prep for hunting season...

In the South, we have Beggar Lice. These are small seeds that adhere to every kind of cloth. I have a blaze orange vest for my bird dog. A couple of days ago, we went out training. She looked like a solid mass of Beggar Lice. A little tidbit: My dad showed me a trick as kid. We were...

A.H. Fox A-Grade Philadelphia gun, 20 gauge. It is a wand, and points where I look.

    Hammer bullets

Hey, can you give more info on your rifle and the load? I have two .358 Wins, and I am liking what I am seeing.

Whats your most difficult shooting skill to master?

That score card should be framed! That is absolutely stellar shooting. The AMU will be after her, if they haven't made their play already.
