My first long range test, 500 yds, produced 2 - 5 shot groups @ 6" dia. Shot off a Harris bi-pod, standard reticle, using hold-over for both windage and elevation with a 10-15 mph quartering wind. Hornady 40 gr., 26" bull barrel

They were shot on a ranch near Shaniko, as for their lineage, the pictures I saw they looked like the wild version. They had long snouts and dark hair. I assume the bullet he used was the 40 gr., I didn't inquire that. I dropped another dog this weekend with my 204, 30 yrds, not much of a test.

like I said it was just a guess, but pushing 4000 would definately change things. My 204 has 1 dog, so far, we'll see after the tournament this weekend if I can add more.
