Couldnt wait until next week. I took the stock in and told them this was unacceptable and the stock is probably ruined. They refunded me and insisted they could repair everything and if I was still not happy they would buy me a replacement. I didnt really expect things to go that smoothly, it...

I will keep that in mind because I would love to have this fixed and done right. I will at the very least get my money for the "bedding job" back.

Thanks for all the advice. As of now I have contacted Mcmillan and will wait for their response in a few days. Along with the responses in this thread, I want a response from the manufacturer as well. Then I will be in a strong position when I go in next week. Thanks again to all

Didnt want my first attempt to be on a $650 stock. I had used him in the past on two different pistols and they came out fine.

If there is a gunsmith that could repair/restore this mess I would be very interested in shipping this to them

I sold the factory stock but I had a bell and carlson that was gathering dust. Its shooting lights out so that lessens the rage a bit

Or maybe its to far gone

If I can fill that gap with marine tex as suggested I guess it could be usable

First time I had a rifle bedded. I almost attempted it myself but I assumed this would be a simple job for a gunsmith.
