Rocky Mountain, I really like the Game Scout, this is my third one. For me it's a perfect fit. I do know others that have had problems with 30mm tube and larger objective scopes. They had to add a cheek riser, I have never had a problem. The stock works well for me.

Than You, So far I like the scope a lot. I own two HD5's and I think it's major improvement over the HD5. Better glass, reticle, 30mm tube. The turret has a solid feel when dialing. I like everything about it so far, time will tell. It's still to new.

I would put a break on it if it were me. Really depends on how you handle recoil.

I would go 28 Nosler I think it's perfect for a hunting rig.

I really like the Game Scout, they fit me well. You just need to get behind them and go with the most comfortable one.

Your problem is you went with Lija. And they are not the best button barrel maker. They have poor QC. I can tell you I have several button barrels on a few rifles all from Benchmark and they all shoot 1/4 groups with factory ammo. I will say this whether it's cut or button it's not going to...

Accuracy and barrel life is just as good as any other quality barrel maker. You will save on weight, but they are pricey. Currently building a 28 Nosler with a Proof on it. Just really depends on what you want.

My 257 Wby or my 6.5-284 ,usually the 257 Wby goes out more. Been hunting deer with that rifle for a long time. I have only had the 6.5-284 for two seasons, so far so good.
