I was taught by old school people so I am more of just a good cored bullet person. My rifle loves 168 hornady bthps it doesn’t like anything lighter. I was just curious if the length of a lighter copper bullet would shoot about the same at a little heavier cored bullet.

First day of deer rifle this guy came to see what was laying in the field. First time I have had one run up on me in a orange vest.

I shoot 168gr hornady bthp out of my 308 and it always does nasty work. I also love vlds but they are a little proxy for my pocket book.

I have only held over one or two times on deer. I usually dial I use a cabelas covenant 5 ffp on my built 308. I shoot out to about 600 a lot testing loads. Furthest shot this year was on a doe at 530 absolutely smoked her.

My buddy has a b14 with the 28 inch barrel I load for him. I load 205 Vlds and 208 eldms the gun really liked rl-23 with the vlds and is pretty solid with the eldms with 77.5 of h1000. 1/4 moa at 100 and 3/4 at 200.
