CKRCKR, the outer finish/blueing on my wife's old Savage was rough looking from the day I bought it. Still shoots very well.

I bought my wife a Savage 110E chambered in 243 Win back in 1985 or so. Topped it with a 1970s Redfield Wideview 3x9 I had. I think the rifle cost $210.00. She still has the rifle and it still shoots pretty darn good in my opinion.

This load worked for me. Granted the barrel is 1:8. That is 5 rds at 100 yards. Complete factory gun.
