After taking a break from reloading for 30 something years I'm about to work on a load for a 20" 11 twist 308 I'm shooting suppressed. I have both Varget and IMR4064 on hand. Would you favor one over the other to start with ? Was going to start with 168 MatchKings and 168 Ballistic tips .

I have a 1.5-6 S&B on a BAR 308 . I wish I had more magnification if I was going to shoot 250 yds. Originally put that combo together when we ran hounds where I hunt. It was a great combination then.

I just got approved 5/2 for a Mask submitted 12/3/23 . It was a single person trust .

I have a Sako AIII in 300 Win Mag that I'm thinking about rebarreling to 6.5 PRC. I borrowed a few rounds from a buddy ,and they fed fine. Wouldn't cahmber due to how fat the PRC is ,but fed fine. Might need to get back on that project.

I have the Nomad LTi . It does a great job of taming my 7STW. It looks like when the word got out that the ATF was fast tracking approvals that inventory is getting short . It may be what you can find or what you are willing to wait for to become available 🤷‍♂️

You might try the Bear Grease podcast. You have to skip some of the episodes , but the series on Holt Collier and Dave’s Crockett are good stuff.

I have the Dead Air Nomad LT . Does a great job suppressing,and and reduces recoil to less than my unsuppressed 308.

Ammo is almost nonexistent . 8mm RM brass is available .

Let us know how it shoots . I‘ve had a Model 70 Laredo in 7STW ,and it has been a good one .

Being a right handed ,but left eye dominant shooter I can see how the verticle grip would get your left hand out of the way when you work the bolt.

The mount you’re looking for should work , but the one in the picture says 9/16

There’s quite a bit of 8mm rem mag brass on ammoseek . Not cheap though.
