    I'd go with the 223 or 6.5 creedmoor with a muzzle break being only 9 yrs old. You don't want him to be scared to shoot it or get hit by the scope.

    I purchased a 300 PRC rifle. It's all set up using the Hornady 225 grain ELD match bullet. What is everyone's opinion on sticking with that load for elk and mule deer. My average shots are between 400 to 700 mostly. The rifle already has a two-stage custom dial on a huskimo scope.

    They normally run around 6 to 8 thousand. From what I see for the gun alone.

    I ran into one the other day. I think it's a pretty good buy slightly used only a few shots through it. Asking 5.700 it has the carry case wind meter huskimo scope . I think it's a 5 to 20 by 50.
