I have been playing with N165 and lighter 168 pills as I have a 1:12 twist twist Rum at the moment......
I would have to check the load but it is around 95gr and I am getting 3500fps and 22 spread
3570 was the top speed but with tight lift so the preasure will be up there at 3500
It looses...
I loaded the 208 amax on 92.5 gr of H1000, shot pretty good in my rum @ just under 3100fps
Have a slower twist barrel on at the moment so they dont work so well so have loaded 190vlds for now....338 barrel next most likley:cool:
I wouldn't mind bulding a 6.5 SAUM light weight cart rifle ...a while away though
Just recieved the 22-250AI light varmint rifle...1:8 twist 24" No2 profile,
Nothing flash just a work horse built on an old 700 and B&C stock
I see on the Minox site it has the 4-20 as 18 onces and 1/4 clicks
MINOX Germany: Technical Data
If that is correct you might want to update your site as I looked at your site then decided not to go down that road....but if it is 1/4 clicks and the lighter weight my next scope may be Minox:)
I had a std 260 rem model seven and with its std barrel shot .7" with 140gr hornady SP with 2209 from memory 18" tube??? (a while back) but rebarreled to 243AI as a light weight varmint rig as I also had a magnum model 7 CS KS.
Being from NZ and seeing that sort of carry on is just sickening....to think our taxes go to the people looking at making that leagal
Those pilots are no better than the paying customer...may be worse as does the client really know what he is in for.....but for me I would pull out of the hunt...

I went 6.5-6mm rem AI (6.5 257 roberts, 6.5x57AI) after finding a reamer at the right price and it has turned out to be very accurate considering its built on a old 98K and used barrel....very happy with it. It shoots better than I can putting three shots through one hole until I lost the plot...
I have a 6.5-6mm Rem AI (basicly 6.5x57AI) and it out preforms a mates 6.5x284 with the same load his longer barrel gives a little less speed... my hunting load is tuned down (old action) to 3000fps with 140 amax's, great round, the 7mm will be the same , an efficent case:cool:
Yip the improved version helps a lot with the trimming in our 22.250, We used to trim every fire and always surprized how much came off for one fire:rolleyes: we were running 37.5gr of Varget for 3550fps with 55gr Nosler BT, After AI we ran 39.5 gr of Varget to get 3750fps (best groups at those...
and if you want to cook a barrel those light pills will get up to 5255:D (done after a barrel change was decided and it did wreck the rifleing) but it does get over 4k with a 55gr pill:cool:
I am in the process of sorting a rifle for a freind for longer shots at small animals, he currently has a std SPS varmint 22-250 that has been Ackley improved, 1:14 twist so didn't try the heavy pills but had the 55gr pills in .274 @ 100 doing 3750fps....at 3950fps it didn't group as well and a...
