24 ins. is plenty long enough,it will result in a slightly stiffer barrel,which in turn should yield slightly better accuracy.personally i wouldnt fret a few fps.if accuracy is the number one goal---dave

whats the twist rate on your barrel?

the flattops can be great depending on where you go,there a ton of outfitters out that area-as for the routte -the only time i was there to hunt was ridiculous, i have never seen so many hunters in one place at the same time-shooting beer cans,yelling etc..-my-2-dave

it wont make it-there a couple problems-there are too many existing chamberings that already do what it can do and more[300wsm]-8mm bullet selection is not that good-b.c.'s arent good -s.d.'s arent very good even with new accubond,which only has a b.c. of around .410 its still nothing smile...
