The magazine(s) you have will work with 6.5x55, 6.5x57, 7x57, and 7-08 as well as 308. The Lapua has it's own magazine as does the Creedmoor. I like the 6.5x55 but then that it was I am used to and have. The magazine for 25-06 is the same as for 270. I don't think you have a bad choice...
