I look at it and say....nah..
Pretty inconvenient for others at the range ; takes a long time to set up during a cease fire. And you cannot return to the bench during cease fire to align the point of aim to the sky screens.

I've always used horizontal rings and was a lapping guy....now I have to use vertical splits with proprietary mount..Talley.
They say no lapping; so does Warne...
I understand what they're saying but can't get my head around the physics of vertical split rings and how they magically line up so...
Recently acquired from a member a Miroku Win M1885.
Seems to be a lot of effort and discussion about mounting optics "out there".
The mount provided is mfg by Talley. Dimensionally to the screw holes etc is all good.
However it does not fit the taper properly. Apparently there are many calibers...
You mentioned the mount accepts Talley rings.
Who made the mount?
Is it for that particular receiver and barrel configuration?
