I have both the guide and the axis jacket, can't go wrong with either. Both block wind really well. The axis is better in terms of blocking out water and the fit is better for my build, 6'3 210. Really can't go wrong with either, both are about the same as far as warmth
To me they are just a superior gaiters compared to the rest, I like the material better, and never had a problem with the falling down my leg or straps loosening up. I have put a lot of hard miles on them all and the kuiu has not been a problem at all
I own several different brands.... kuiu, kenetrek, first lite and sitka. Hands down the best is the kuiu Yukon gaiters. When the snow flies here in Colorado they are my go to without question
