I killed one mule deer buck with the 130 Sst out of my 270. It was 100 yards and the bullet left a 2" hole on impact. It was a lung shot so no meat was lost. They do kill but if you hit the shoulder kiss the hole thing good by.

This is the only powder I could find within 150 miles of my house. I have seen some load data for my 300WSM but I can not find any info on how temperature sensitive it is. Can anyone help me with this?

I hunted the high country last year. While up their I talked to a hunter that killed a bear off the gut pile from his deer. I did not see any bears just small amounts of sign. I was in 43.

Thanks for the replies. I have completed brake in. The barrel is allready free floated. Next i will put a muzzle brake on it and have the action beded and trigger done. I was thinking of trying the A-Max 208s.

Im new to the site and long range hunting. I just purchased this gun and toped it with a Vortex Viper. Can anyone give me some advice on what loads might work out best? I have been completing alot of reasearch just hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
