This is my preference. I have them on several Squirrel rifles. It's to bad Burris quit making them. For a newer scope I use a Leupold 6X custom shop scope. They install a fine duplex and set the parallax to whatever distance you want. Mine are at 40yds, although 100' would be ok also.

That is an outstanding piece of walnut on yours. How you put it on paper yet?

Blackhole Bullets has a 30gr. and so does Reed Bullets .

I would go with either Lilja (my favorite and what I use) or Pac Nor.

10T is generally factory and will stabilize a 30gr., but 9T is what I would do if I had a choice.

The 17-204 would be an awesome pick, but the distances you mentioned is for sure do able with a 17 Rem. A 10 twist 17 Rem. will work with the 30gr. bullets. I went through the same decision making some years back. Really wanted to do a 17-204, but the distances most of my shots are at is 17...

Those 35 Bergers awesome on Coyotes, you are going to like them.

At the time of ordering the barrel I briefly considered a 10T, but this is going to be a plain jane 204 shooting 34gr, 35gr., and 37gr. bullets so I choose the 11T. Looking back I wish I would have chose the 10T. I firmly believe that RPM plus velocity is one of the reasons these mouse calibers...

I'm in the process of building Calling rifle in 204 using a 11T barrel. I'm curious also.

The 30gr. Nagel, Blackhole, Reed, bullets are a huge game changer with the 17 Rem. The 17Rem. is based off the 222 Rem. Mag. I never found wind drift to be that much of an issue with 17 vs. any other caliber. With a 4000fps velocity, an astronomical RPM, and only 25 to 30gr. bullet size, wind...

Yes they did according to reports. That was one of the issues they needed to overcome. I've never had that problem but others had. I imagine to thin of jackets for that kind of RPM, then later poor barrels would also smoke bullets.

1/2" at 100yds isn't anything to sneeze at.

Oh my. I would have liked to have had that.
