    Anybody tried Duracoat?

I have been wanting to try the cerakote as well. I will have to find a suitable project and give it a try.

    Anybody tried Duracoat?

I have done a couple pistol slides with duracoat and have had mixed results. Ususally the rail areas will "break-in" with the duracoat. The reason I have had mixed results is the last slide I did, for a Glock 34, I media blasted, duracoated, and then proceeded to oil said slide with Gunzilla...

    Anybody tried Duracoat?

I have duracoated many a firearm. I recently did a small finishing nail hammer too (had some extra Duracoat left over). It is great stuff but you have to be careful with surface preparation. I media blast everything that is not hardcoat anodized or parkerized. Their new SL additives are...

    AR caliber and make advise

Look at the 300 AAC Blackout as well. You can run it super or subsonic. There are quite a few manufacturers that have jumped on board with this one. I run mine subsonic/ suppressed. Awesome combo. Very very accurate too. I had a hell of a time getting the gas adjusted right, it turned out...

What are your opinions on TPS HRT Rings?

I have a set of the TPS HRT rings and love them. Would have stockpiled them but Brownells jacked up the price to match everyone else and I ended up finding cheaper alternatives- Burris- that work well.

Hard to cycle bolt on Savage target action.

+1 on the headspace. I have encountered this a couple of times when headspacing Savages using a headspace gauge but trying to chamber previously fired and resized brass. Just check your headspacing.

I have used EGW and Ken Farrel bases for the long action flat back Savage with fantastic results. Both are great products.

    AR-15 Triggers

I just put a Jard 2 lb adjustable in a RRA lower last week. Took a little bit to get adjusted but crap, it is a nice trigger. I have a lot of smooth lightweight triggers on my bolt guns and this is up there with them. Not bad at all. Wanted one of the 2 stage Gisselles, but didn't want to...

    FFP ro SFP Vortex PST

I read a post somewhere, and for the life of me can't find it, but basically what it said was for tactical/ field use, competition, or where speed is necessary mil works great. For precision work go with moa. I think the farther out you get it is harder to dial in for precision work with mil...
