I converted my rem lss 7 Rum to a 28 Nosler.
Well, kind of, the only thing left is the action.
I had it throated for the 195s.
I had to have the action machined for a Wyatt mag (Coal is 3.740)
I agree. **** Poor Planning. they should have put on a second shift to produce plenty of bullets before the move. now they are going to put on a second shift to fill back orders. I hope they can maintain quality while setting up a new facility and trying to play catch up.
Harbor freight sells a foot pedal for like 10 bucks. just plugs into the wall, then drill. of course you would have to use a corded drill and zip strip the trigger
Unless it’s an illusion? The scope looks really high at the eyepiece and low at the objective. A lot more then 20 moa by the look of the photo, but that would make it shoot high, wouldn't it?
I had one (220 Swift) great guns. Could kick myself for selling it. mine shot really good with hand loads. i wouldn't put a composite stock on it, that would ruin the beauty of the rifle...That's just my opinion.
Two things that i think would give you immediate results would be, 1 put a brake on your 7mm a couple companies offer a bolt on brake pretty reasonably priced. 2 have a gunsmith adjust your trigger for you. I think you'll be impressed by what them two things do for your confidence and group sizes.
Thanks, A lot of good information. I guess I've just always been Remington oriented as far as the actions. I'll take a look at the Savage. I hear a lot of good things about the Tikka actions too. when i first decided to do this build, i was trying to salvage the action from my 6mm rem.
Thanks for all the info and pictures. i'm not concerned about the weight because of the type of shooting i do.
I actually like a bigger pistol grip, it helps me get better trigger finger placement.
Yeah, i thought about that too. I just don't think there is anyway to cut corners and be happy at the end of the day. now i'm up in the air about trueing the action, or buying a new one?
Does anyone have experience with CHOATE rifle stocks?
I’m currently building a 28 Nosler (Defiance action, Bartlien barrel, McMillan A-5-etc) so after spending a lot of money on this build, I’m wanting to build a 6 x47 Lapua on a budget.
I have a 30/yr old 6mm Rem BDL that has never shot very...
