shooting right handed guns left handed??

I too shoot left hand right handed guns. I've also grown up doing this and my career is based on being able to utilize right handed rigs left handed. I train for both left and right handed shooting and have built right handed guns to utilize left handed. The only problem I see is if you use a...

    Backpack hunting & meat hauling

Typically I field dress my game the gutless method. But this day, call me crazy cause everyone else does, I thought it would be a challenge and a test to pack it out as is. It sucked and I felt it for a few days, but it was doable and that made the test of the pack successful. But I do see your...

300 RUM or 7mm with 180 bergers at 3000 fps

I have both and would say for what you have said your uses will be, go with the 7mm. 168 berger VLD's are devastating on elk out to 1000 yards. The 300RUM is an amazing gun, but 7mm is all around one of the best in my view.

    Backpack hunting & meat hauling

Yes great advice for sure. What you cant see in the photo is that the back of the bag that holds the deer is bright red. That being said I probably wont carry many out like this more of a meat hauler, this was just an attempt and it worked. Believe me I thought about having more bright colors...

    7 mm remington magnum

Ive been shooting 168 Berger VLD from HSM. They have been shooting 2" at 200 yards and easily shooting 800 yards out of my Savage LRH. I just killed a buck the other day at 200 yards. The 168 hit the heart and broke ribs then hit lung and out through shoulder breaking it to pieces. Buck went...

new zeiss and looking for a good ballistic program for android phone

+1 Strelok is the best Android App...Should cost a lot, but its free! If your reticle isn't listed in free version the paid version has 180 more reticles to choose from. I think its around $5. Its always been accurate with my 7mm shooting 168 VLD.

Yes there is a road close after I already packed out. My Toyota Land cruiser was waiting, with dual lockers it usually can get pretty close.

Thanks I've been keeping an eye out for any to pop up on craigalist for a good deal. I might just bite the bullet and buy one soon. How is the weight with the crew cab? Also can it be used for a weekend bag to camp out of?

    Backpack hunting & meat hauling

Its currently deer season in Oregon, and this year I really got into backpack hunting. I have been looking at all sorts of bags, Kirafu, Mystery Ranch, Eberlestock...etc. I haven't decided yet, but wanted to share a pleasant surprise. I have an older snowboard pack that was designed to carry a...

    broadhead reviews

Like Winmag stated here in Oregon cant use mechanical. I have always used Slik Tricks, but have just switched to Montec G5. I have noticed two things, The Montecs are harder hitting and appear to be tougher so far. They have a solid shaft design. I don't know if I will stay with them, but once I...

Need advice for Colorado elk hunt

Mountain House MRE's are the best in my opinion. I think a side arm is always a good thing as long as the law of the land allows.....which it should. I also would say SAT phones are not needed, but if you have the dough than go for it, its to expensive for me I just let family and friends know...
