I am very new to rifle hunting,as I have spent most of my life bow hunting. I just purchased a savage 116 300 win mag 24" barrel free floated with muzzle break. I have been shooting 180 gr zeroed at 200 yds and am consistent at 500 yds. I have a Nikon 3x9. I am wondering what my potential range for this weapon and current set up could be. If any ones has any info on this please share as I am getting ready for elk in November at the Oregon coast

I am a bow hunter who is taking up long range hunting. Finances are hughe for me right now I am looking at some package deals 600.00 to 750.00in a 300 rum or a wsm if anyone has any suggestions I am open to hear them thanks . jimmy. I am trying to get between 600 and 1000 yds to start
