Has anyone had any experience with M Custom Guns of Carthage TN? I'm having some difficulties with them and wondered if anyone else on the forum has dealt with them. In fairness, I'm still waiting to see if they resolve the problem before making any negative statements. Thanks for any input. Jim

Len- Where did you get a copy of the 300 Tomahawk reamer drawing (if you don't mind my asking)? Jim

forknhorn- When the pressure starts to become excessive, it can cause brass extrusion into the ejector and/or extractor cuts on the bolt face. These show up as bright or shiny marks on the case head. That's what I was referring to as "mark".

Forknhorn- As far as twist, I'd suggest 1-9 or 1-10 as you may eventually want to shoot heavier bullets (factory is 1-9.5). My Sendero with factory barrel (26", 1-9.5, and so much freebore a 139 falls out of the case neck before it touches the lands) likes RE25 with the 139 Interbond. 3553...

The freebore in my new factory 7mm RUM Sendero seems excessive to the point I can't seat a bullet to touch the lands. Its still fairly accurate (3/4" at a hundred with minmal load development). Clymer lists .220" freebore for their standard 7mm RUM reamer, but about half that for their 300 RUM...
