That's awesome. I had shot a handful of small elk before I killed my first big bull. I was solo and was still awestruck at how big the body was when when I first walked up on him. Having never killed an elk at all, I can only imagine what you were thinking when you rolled up on that guy solo...

I'm putting them through a 300 PRC and have seen good accuracy, High shouldered a bull at 850 this year. He was DRT, found a couple pedals and main portion just under the hide on the off side. He was jellied on the inside, very happy with the performance although its only one critter.

Same. I wasn't gonna buy but wanted to. Wayne built me a 300 PRC last winter, load development was easy to say the least!! He builds a good gun and is a good guy too. You'll have a good gun BenelliHunter.
