Skin and butcher the antelope asap. freezing too soon keeps the meat from aging and getting tender. depends on the weather. doesn't hurt meat to be in icy water in an ice chest if you drain it daily and replenish the ice. cleans it and allows it to age a bit.

I agree w/ Cody. Don't get too much gun to start hunting with. A 300 Wby is a lot of gun and 600 yd shots are a long way off.

Any thoughts re: grizzly hunting with 458 Win Mag vs.458 Lott? I have a Win M70 in Super Express Grade in 458 Win Mag. Is it worthwhile to have it reamed to 458 Lott?
