    Intro and a question

Oh yes. The rifle had a suppressor. A little heavy but no ear pro needed.

    Intro and a question

Hi Mike, I shot two roe bucks in May 2015 near Balmoral. One was a silver medal buck. We stayed in Ballater in a wonderful hotel bordering a golf course. I must add that we absolutely loved Scotland. Great people. Wonderful hunting. Had a full Scottish breakfast every morning. I hope to return...

    Christensen Arms Accuracy Issues???

A rifle can be inherently accurate but user error can foul things up. Shooting correctly from the bench isn’t as easy as it sounds. Ive watched hundreds of shooters as RSO and cringe at probably 75% of them, even the ones with higher end rifles. CA has a loyal customer base for a reason. If...

What can you tell me about my pawnshop find?

It’s a hunting rifle. Sight it in accurately, concoct a load and with luck you’ll fire it a few times a year I’d load with a faster burning powder and probably not VLDs as you might have to experiment a bit as they can be tricky

Behind enemy lines in CA. Need to escape. Need help

Hi! I moved from Northern CA, Sierra mtn area to south Reno about 18 months ago. Yes NV is catching the cancer from CA but it’s much better than CA. Lots of gun guys and excellent hunting. I’d have moved to WY or Idaho but like yourself I have family in CA. Consider south Reno. The area...

New 300 WM —How to find “THE”bullet

There are so many excellent bullets and combinations. 180 and above or lighter but all copper like Barnes. I’ve found Berger’s are great at certain distances but only on full body profile shots. Controlled expansion IMHO are better suited for overall situations. You may have a quartering shot...

    Dry patch for barrel ?

Yep. Plus you want to know exactly where your first cold bore shot lands in relation to following shots. Accuracy should return after a well cleaned bore has a fouling shot or three down it. But you really don't want to take your cold bore shot from a grunged up powder fouled barrel. It...

    Quality Reloading/Handloading Components?

Brass? Lapua by far the best brass. Then Norma, Nosler, Hornady Press? Forster Co-Ax but I got great results for years with an RCBS Rockchucker. Dies? I use RCBS, Redding, Hornady and Lee. Honestly I think you can craft great loads with any decent die set. I have a die from Innovative...
