If I were you I would try the same thing you have done using SMK bullets. I have found them to be very good and highly under-rated.

I have a leica 1600 range finder and if I want to convert PSI to Barometric pressure I multiply 2.0359 times the PSI reading. That will give me a very close reading of the Barometric pressure.Hope this will be useful to you.
