What diferens is there in velocity/altitude - I shot at 0 to 2000 feet. I see most of you seem to be at 4000 +??

Thanks a mill, Mine is a savage also. Looking at QuickLoad the 180 TSX @ 300yds is about 2200 fps with 1950 ft lbs and the 200 TTSX is about 2125 fps & 2000 ft lbs. either should have enough penetration to get the job done, all be it they are very big bears and the bullet needs to go in an...

I am thinking of buying a Savage Model 10 Predator Hunter in 22-250 8.5 lbs plus scope say 1.5lbs = 10lbs - 24" bbl & 12 twist. Any views on it. Loaded with Hornady 53gr. V-Max (.290 BC) and 55gr. GMX (.245 BC) for deer. Any views on the GMX? Also is 12 twist ok?
