    My new lightweight rifle

Custom rifles are just that. Are there cheaper options? Yes. I am familiar with the NULA rifles. I know what is available. Some people buy Dodge, some Chevy, some Mercedes. They will all get you where you want to go. There is a very robust market for used, custom firearms. The...

Dean2, you are correct, the rifle scope and ammo will be pushing the 7 lb range. The Mausingfield action is not a light weight action, could have saved weight there, but I already owned the action, could have gone with a light weight scope which would have shaved another 10 oz. could have...

The pictures show the weight of the scoped barreled action, stock is 15.5 oz, bottom Metal will add a few more ounces. I think is will weigh 6lbs 11-13 oz complete. That is with the Swarovski X5 scope.

    My new lightweight rifle

I can’t yet speak to the accuracy of this barrel yet but the customer service has been A+. Yes 1650 is the price. The bedding on this stock is all integrated carbon, no bedding blocks set in foam. Will hopefully post some range results soon.

The stock is actually quite unbelievable. Very light and rigid. The barrel is the best looking carbon wrapped barrel I have seen, great fit and finish. I have heard nothing but good things about this barrel. Anxious to get her to the range.

The barreled action is sitting next to the unfinished all carbon stock. Hope to be at the range by midweek!

    Gradous 28 Nosler unfired

If I didn’t already own a custom 28 Nosler, I would have bought this rifle the first time I saw the thread.

    Gradous 28 Nosler unfired

Sorry to read this. Robert built a 7 mm STW for me several year ago. The rifle is a tack driver.

Explain the need for a 28 Nosler

You are correct. I do think 3200 is doable with either the RUM of the STW, with appropriate FB and 26” barrel.

Explain the need for a 28 Nosler

I own a 28 Nosler, 7mm STW, and a 7 RUM. Is there a need? No. I had my 28 Nosler built for the 195 Berger. I settled on a load with RL33 right at 3100 fps. All are over bore, but there are plenty of good barrel makers. 😃
