    How 'bout a welcome from Orygun! R-15 .223 60gr V-Max over a Lucky Duck Revolt e-caller

    calling dogs----

I used to be a skeptical believer in Bigfoot but have become even more skeptical with the lack of trail cam photos and knowing how many hundreds of thousands of elk hunters with pretty high powered rifles combing the woods and not shooting one.

    calling dogs----

Bigfoot encounters make for great campfire stories to scare the crap out of kids. A quite fair boogyman.

    Too much gun?!?!

Is that the exit wound or the entrance?

Fox Pro, Lucky Duck, or Icotec

I have the first two models (Gen 1 300 and the Gen 2 500) of Icotec and called in several coyotes. The remote range is wonderful. I had the Steve Criner recommended e-caller but lost the remote and the factory said each caller is syncronized to that one single caller and I was SOL. So I bought...

Remember the Accelerator line of cartridges?

I found the Accelerators grouped about 2" to one side from where my deer load hit and I didn't want to resight my rifle. I think they shot about 1.5 MOA. I did not know they sold sabots or it would be interesting to try for better groups with lighter or heavier bullets.

    My personal biggest

The redness of the hair resembles the pattern of a dog with allergies. They lick their feet and belly causing a reddish saliva staining. If it was an old dog that could be the case. Check the teeth for wear and buildup of tartar along the gum line. Shiny bright sharp teeth = young dog.

anyone hunt/call yotes using a E-bike to get around on?

My brother has one. They are great for an established trail but tough to cross a plowed field without dumping. It is quiet though. I know another predator caller that has an ATV quad(?) on which he has installed an extra efficient muffler to mute the engine noise. He swears by it.

I’m pretty new to this, and I have some questions

"I've had two instances where I am covered in coyotes, with two different groups within 30 yards of me yipping and howling and carrying on, but can't get anyone to come in." If they're within 30 yards they have come in. It is a matter of making a set where you have a clear field of fire and no...

Each cat can eat 50 deer a year ~1 a week. That has to have some effect on deer numbers.

    Cougar Hunting

I took a wildlife management class in college and a mountain lion study in the Idaho wilderness areas was a topic. The instructor showed a map with the territorial boundaries of multiple lions that were treed, darted and radio collared. It looked like a county map of Idaho only none of the lines...

    Cougar Hunting

What I would recommend is whenever you get a little new snow is to ride the logging roads looking for fresh tracks then do some calling. I live in Orygun too so there are as many cats as ever in the mountains & foothills. Attached photo is not me. Cat was taken in foothills not far east of...

    Cougar Hunting

They can be territorial and have a distinct hunting range with somewhat of a hunting route they will follow and pass by your camera on a somewhat regular schedule every several days or week or two. If you find a pattern you can anticipate their approximate arrival to the area. There are also...

ballistic reticle or dial? illuminated? whats your favorite reticle for coyote ?

Redfield 2X7 Accu-Range reticle (duplex crosshairs with a small circle in the center). It helps me get on target quickly when they pop out of the brush or are running. Zero for 200 yds.
