    25-06 AI

With those slow burners a mag primer is necessary but with N560 it is not. It was my last resort to go against public accepted norms and use a non magnum primer but I wasn't going to shoot out my barrel with out a fight and go against accepted beliefs in my 257 Weatherby Accumark.

    25-06 AI

I try only the heavier bullets 117 SSt, 115 Balistic Silvertip 120 grain Speer Hot core is my favorite all shoot with the same charge and pretty similar results. All clock around 3350. I try to dial it back with Ballistic tip as the pressure signs appear. I can't get any decent groups unless I...

    25-06 AI

With 257 Weatherby and Vihtavouri N560 powder with a non magnum primer the Bee makes 25-06 AI less credible. With muzzle velocity of 3350 FPS and excellent accuracy it wins hands down.

    257 Weatherby loads with RL26

I tried R26 with Fed 215 Gold metal and could not find any combinations acceptable. Shelved it for over a year and was able to get Vihtavouri N560 but no Fed 215. I have a lot of GM210 so I tried the GM210 with the N560. With increasing charge was able to achieve desired accuracy with optomine...

257 Weatherby Mag w/ MRP or MagPro

I fired more rounds than I would have liked trying to find reasonable accuracy with acceptable velocity. When I changed primers from Federal gold medal 215 to Fed 210 match I got what I wanted. Using N560 powder with Hornady 117 SST's 3350 FPS and great accuracy. Just as good Nosler 115Bal tip...

    44 magnum rifle load

Sorry Birddog, I had in mind my Marlin 444 stainless not the 44mag which i also have in stainless. The powder for the 44 mag powder I would also try is the H 300mp I think is the name. But it is slower and gives magnum velocities

    44 magnum rifle load

Hello, I have both 44mag and 444 in the stainless Marlin. I gave the wrong powder and pet loads I developed. I use both Hornady 240 in both rifles. I was thinking 444 not 44. I was wrong. Thanks for question it and bringing it to my attention. Rich

    Load for 270 Weatherby Magnum

I have a finicky 270 Wea mag and the only powder that gives wea velocity with some degree of accuracy is Vihtavouri N560 3300 plus in 140 grain Hornady SST as well as Federal Trophy Bear Claw. It also works well in 257 Wea

    44 magnum rifle load

Birddog, I have a stainless 44 magnum 24 inch barrel that loves 5? grains of H335 behind a hornady 240 grain bullet fed 215GMM primer. three shots inch group at 170 yards. Velocity is about 2180 FPS. I posted on Reloaders nest and have since seen it as top load elsewhere.

    Criterion barrels

I have three Weatherby Accumarks purchased withing three years. Not one shoots to my demands. The only one that comes near being acceptable is the only used one the 300 Weatherby. My first acquisition was the 257 it doesn't come close to two inch let alone one inch this off of bench with lead...
